At the beginning of September, WRC 9 will be the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship. In an innovative programme, developer KT Racing is looking for the next Rally Star together with the motorsport umbrella organization FIA.
From September 4 onwards, the rally cars in WRC 9 will once again make the dust and gravel tracks around the world unsafe. WRC 9 is well on the way to becoming the best racing game of the official series so far. With the eSports WRC Championship the series has been firmly anchored in sim-racing for years, but with the new FIA Rally Star program, it'll go one step further.
With WRC 9 into the World Rally Championship
Are you a big rally fan and do you dream of getting behind the wheel of a car and racing over the tracks in Monaco, Sweden or Germany? Then you should take a closer look at the FIA Rally Star program.
NACON, KT Racing and the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) have announced cooperation and are pursuing an ambitious project. Together they are launching the first worldwide program to discover future rally drivers: FIA Rally Star. The program will be released in December 2020 as DLC for WRC 9. All players between 17 and 26 years old can participate, who can qualify in several phases through a selection process.
You will have the opportunity to participate in a training and coaching program of the FIA. The seven best drivers, as well as the world's best driver, will make it to the finals and in the end will get the chance to compete in the FIA Junior WRC racing series. The first FIA Rally Star qualifying phase will start in 2021 in WRC 9 and the program is available to anyone who owns the game on console or PC and downloads the DLC.

With Kenya, Japan, and New Zealand, three new venues await you this time, and the game also includes a co-op mode and a heavily revised career mode to keep you motivated for longer. The developers have managed to improve the title's gameplay and technology compared to its direct predecessor, making WRC 9 an absolute highlight for racing game fans in the fall of 2020.
The game will be released on September 4 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The implementation for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X should follow at the release, and a port for Nintendo Switch will be released at a later date.
