Valorant's patch 2.08 was a big one! Sure, it didn't add a new agent like every other Act patch before it, but we got the new map Breeze which was more than welcome. What will patch 2.09 have in store?
It has been two weeks since the last Valorant patch, and you know what that means - another one should be dropping today. Patch 2.09 in Valorant is just around the corner, and we're expecting Riot to release it later today, May 11. Here's what you can expect from it.
Valorant Patch 2.09 Preview
One thing that's certainly coming with the new patch is a brand-new game mode - Replication. While initially, we thought it might be the Battle Royale tease we got with a leaked mechanic not too long ago, it turns out Replication is something entirely different.
The new game mode is pretty much a carbon copy of a familiar mode in League of Legends - One for All. In it, players on both teams were forced to play with the same champion. The exact same thing will be happening in Valorant as players will all have the same agent. This will probably make for some interesting scenarios as Riot themselves have already teased.

Needless to say, the mode will be focusing on the casual side of things with having fun being the center of it. We personally can't wait to try it out!
Aside from the new mode, patch 2.09 will probably introduce some balance changes to the roster of agents. We've already heard previously from the dev team and their intent to buff the likes of Yoru even further. Whether that'll happen with patch 2.09 remains to be seen.
When is the Valorant Patch 2.09 Release Date?
As we mentioned before, Valorant Patch 2.09 should release today, on May 11th. Riot sometimes forgets their own schedule though, so maybe it'll release tomorrow or the day after. We'll keep you updated, though!
