A star-studded line of Valorant streams and pros did battle on October 3 in the LG UltraGear FACE-OFF. We go through the community tournament and tell you what’s up and which team took it down.
LG UltraGear FACE-OFF hosted a very cool community tournament on their YouTube channel, so check it out if you wish to watch a fun series full of great names.
Bringing together pro gamers and streamers from a variety of different games. Let’s take a look at each of the rosters for the four teams invited: Strikers, Delta, Survival, and Heroes.
Team Delta won through the winner’s bracket and faced off with Team Striker in the final match of the small tournament. The last map on Split went to overtime as Striker fought hard for their tournament life. On the final OT map the pro Valorant player, Matt 'WARDELL' Yu opened up the round with a quick double kill and the rest of his team were able to secure the win and the final 2-0. Wardell won tournament MVP with a cool 55 kills over the course of the matches and an average econ score of 170. He is a pro Valorant pro who has the skills that pay the bills, after all.
A cool feature that was used to great effect during the whole tournament was the live listen-in the commentators could call for mid-match. When moments got exciting this live listen-in added a great element of drama and fun to the matches. Tema Delta took home bragging rights and it is assumed that each and every personality was paid to play in this promotional tournament as there was no prize pool up for grabs either than that cool golden trophy seen during the broadcast.
