G2 Esports Invitational
The European event was held between eight teams - T. Arch, T.Draken, T.Mixwell, T.ZeratoR, T.Izak, T.Ex6TenZ, T.Taimou, T. Ange1.
With a brilliant performance in the group stage and an unstoppable play-off round, the team led by G2 Esports captain Oscar "Mixwell" Colocho was able to claim their first official Valorant tournament victory. However, the MVP title went to someone else: William "Draken" Sundin.
Even back in the group stage, Draken's squad had difficulties against Mixwell's team. At least it's a great consolidation prize to be able to wear the first MVP title.
Rage - Japan Invitational
With 16 teams, the Japan Invitational was twice as big as its G2 Esports counterpart. The matches were played in two groups. One team proved its dominance: JUPITER. In the final, they won with a confident 2-0 victory over Lag Gaming and took the title home with them. Bakemon took third place in the tournament.
T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Valorant Showdown
If you thought this was the end of the Ignition Series think again. The event is launching its North American jib this weekend. The tournament is a collaboration between T1 and Nerd Street Gamers. There will be a total of 16 teams participating in the event. The 16 in question were decided beforehand in qualifiers where a total of 64 teams tried their best to make it big. The T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Valorant Showdown will kick off on June 26 and will conclude on Sunday, June 28.
The lucky four who made it through open qualifiers are:
With stars like TSM, Immortals, T1, Sentinels, and Gen.G, this is probably one of the most exciting tournaments at VIS. The prize pool stands at $50,000 but more importantly, we'll get to see TSM and T1 in the same event. Will T1 be able to break TSM's win streak?
