6. THE R-301: An excellent choice for mid-range. It might not have the highest damage of its clase but makes up for it with a high rate of fire. It's also viable in close range and in most cases you won't need a scope as the default one is good enough. (Image credit: Respawn Entertainment)

5. THE DEVOTION: The Devotion was slightly nerfed when it was removed from the supply drops. It has almost no recoil and the only weakness seems to be the magazine size for which you can get some easily obtainable attachments. (Image credit: Respawn Entertainment)

4. THE HEMLOCK: The Hemlock received some buffs to its recoil in Season 6. If you're accurate enough to hit a headshot in burst mode it's almost always a guaranteed kill. Since the DPS is rather low, your best choice would be to go for the head. (Image credit: Respawn Entertainment)

3. THE VOLT: The Volt is the latest weapon added with Season 6 and it doesn't disappoint. It's effective at almost any range, has a DPS of 200 and a very easy to learn spray pattern. Just watch out for the ammo. (Image credit: Respawn Entertainment)

2. THE PROWLER: The Prowler has a slightly higher DPS than the Volt, sitting at 203. It received some nerfs in Season 6 but if you're already experienced with it that shouldn't stop you. (Image credit: Respawn Entertainment)

1. THE MASTIFF: Another weapon taken out of the supply drops that's rather popular much like the Devotion. Its rate of fire and magazine size guarantee you a kill on any non-fortified legends with just 2 shots. It's the perfect weapon for close range and the late game is all about that.
