The PAX Arena Valorant Invitational is the biggest tournament for Riot’s tactical shooter so far. Today the event is about to enter the playoffs stage.

Valorant events are definitely not lacking as there are plenty in each region. The PAX Arena Valorant Invitational kicked off this Wednesday (July 22) and is now about to enter playoffs. The North America tournament started with a total of 20 teams that are competing for a prize pool of $25,000. Two days later the number of teams has dropped to the final eight:

  • TSM
  • T1
  • Sentinels
  • Team Envy
  • Gen.G Esports
  • Immortals
  • Cloud9
  • Homeless

As it becomes clear from the list, we see only the top esports organizations with one exception – Homeless. The latter consists of ex-CS-GO and Fortnite players and they’ve done quite well for themselves reaching this stage. The question is – will they make it any further? Other big organizations like Complexity Gaming, Renegades, and 100 Thieves couldn’t survive the group stage. The most popular streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was also eliminated along with his team 100 Blifted.

The competition in the PAX Arena Invitational is vicious as we see the top teams from the region. Teams like TSM, T1, and Sentinels appear to be the dominant ones in North America but Cloud9 and Gen.G have also shown they’ve got what it takes to beat the best. In this event though we get to see all of them at the same time and that’s the beauty of it. The speculations will finally come to an end and we’ll see who takes the first place in NA.

Sentinels, TSM, Immortals, and T1 haven’t even suffered a single loss during the groups, but that’ll soon change. The playoffs of the PAX Arena Valorant Invitational are single elimination, meaning there won’t be any second chances. Whoever losses a series is out for good. All matches will be played in a Bo3, with only the grand finals being a Bo5. In today’s series you can expect:

  • TSM vs Envy
  • Sentinels vs. Gen.G
  • T1 vs. Homeless
  • Immortals vs. Cloud9

The first game will start at 21:00 CET so make sure you don’t miss it. A stream will be available on the official PAX Arena Twitch channel where you’ll be able to see all the action. The grand finals are scheduled for July 26, so there are still a couple of days left. Who do you think will take the event? Share your opinion on our Facebook page!
