It won’t be coming anytime soon, though.

The Dota 2 2020 Battle Pass ended last week, and it was the most successful one ever. Thanks to it, The International 10’s prize pool reached a whopping $40 million!

It was a long summer for Dota 2 fans. Plenty of content came out for the game with this year’s Battle Pass. Players who reached the necessary levels in it were rewarded with exclusive skinspersonas for Anti-Mage, Pudge, and arcanas for Queen of Pain, Wraith King, and Windranger. If you missed your chance to get them, there won’t be another.

The Battle Pass event, Aghanim’s Labyrinth was easily on par with Siltbreaker which was a favorite of the Dota 2 community. The Labyrinth offered a dungeon crawl experience with some of the Dota 2 heroes and rewarded players with battle points and exclusive effects and items for the best performers during Aghanim’s Trials. Sadly, it’s now over but who knows maybe we’ll see it return in the game’s Arcade section?

The International 10 Prize Pool Hits $40 Million

As we’re all familiar by now, 25% of all Battle Pass sales go directly to the prize pool for The International. This year’s pass started out very strong and managed to break the record from last year. Valve’s milestone for 2020 was $40 million and while many of us were doubtful, the goal was reached in the last few hours of the Battle Pass. We wonder if Valve had something to do with that.

With $40 million The International 10 is the event with the biggest prize pool in esports. This year, the event got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. All LAN tournaments were canceled and turned into an online format. Just as expected, Valve weren’t willing to turn the event of the year into an online experience. Thus, TI10 was postponed to 2021 (for now). The month and the place remain the same – August, Stockholm, Sweden.

Spectre Won the Arcana Vote

This year’s Arcana Vote results were also revealed last Friday and Spectre proved to be the players’ favorite. The carry hero will be the next in line to get a visual treat with an arcana skin. Faceless Void was close for a second time and we have no doubt that Valve will include an arcana for him in the upcoming Battle Pass for 2021.
