Big news from Nintendo?
The big secret behind the new SSBU Fighter!
Will Super Smash Bros. Ultimate get a new character and if yes then who is the new DLC fighter? We have a pretty good idea.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the fifth title in the SSB series. Initially featuring 76 playable characters, it outdid its predecessor (Super Smash Bros. For Wii U) by 12 new heroes. And now the rumor kitchen is bubbling around new fighters from the SSBU 5 universe.
A new fighter, really?
Recently a rumor has been circulating: SSB is supposed to get another DLC fighter. The creator of the Nintendo fighters, Masahiro Sakurai, tries to deny it as much as possible, but the suspicion is confirmed. An amiibo place between Sonic and Toon Link became free. In the free field, you can read "Coming soon" and that makes us all curious. The wild theories about characters from LOL, Spyro, Crash Bandicot, or Rayman rather cause resentment among Sakurai.

What about the fans?
It made much more sense to assume that it'd be one of the two ARMS characters - Spring man or Springtron. It was already said that an ARMS fighter is to be expected and alphabetically the whole thing works. Besides, Springman already existed as Assist-Trophy. NPCs and features are always promoted to fighters - well at least most of them: #whereiswaluigi!?
The amiibo secret is revealed
I guess the "coming soon" promised more than it delivered. A well-known character has taken the place: Squirtle. Also missing are other characters that are already in the game but not yet on the Nintendo site. For example Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury. Nonetheless, you should keep your eyes peeled as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate still has a little more room left. Moreover, Sakurai is known for building games he has just finished into the SSB series.
