Crypto town takeover included
The Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection event
As part of yesterday’s EA Play, Respawn Entertainment revealed the next big thing in Apex Legends. The Lost Treasures Collection event is coming June 23.
We’re glad to say that almost all of our predictions about the EA Play Live event were correct. Respawn are finally bringing cross-play along with a launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch. All of that will happen by the end of fall. Before that, though there’s another surprise, the next event in Apex – The Lost Treasures Collection. Just as we expected it also includes the Crypto town takeover which was leaked in the last month. If you haven’t seen the trailer, then feel free to do so below.
Armed and Dangerous Evolved
Much like any other of the events we’ve seen in the past, The Lost Treasures features a limited-time mode – Armed and Dangerous Evolved. A lot of players probably remember Armed and Dangerous where players have access only to shotguns and snipers. This time though all of the armor is EVO armor and respawn beacons are removed from the map. The only way to bring back a teammate is with the new item, the mobile respawn beacon. Each player starts with one at the beginning of the match. Whether this item will remain in some form after the conclusion of the event is unknown.
Crypto town takeover
Next up is the fabled town takeover by Crypto. The hacker gets his own place in the map room. As the developer noted it’d give players a better idea of what motivates Crypto. Hopefully he'll also get some serious buff as his pick rate is still atrocious.
There’s also a prize tracker for the event, which features some exclusive skins including two legendary ones.
Among the rewards is also a new Heirloom for Mirage.
Then there’s also the special offers tab which will be available between June 23 and July 7.
Here you'll find some sweet deals on selected skins, so anyone with an eye for quality will be pleased.
A buff for Lifeline on the way
This was a hard one to miss in the trailer, but in case you didn’t notice Lifeline was able to revive a fallen teammate with her healing drone.
The legend used to be a top pick in the first few months of Apex, but slowly she fell out of grace. Currently, she’s still a good choice for any team, due to the shield she provides. Now with a buff on her drone, her popularity will certainly spike. The patch notes for the event will most likely be released on launch day, so stay tuned for more updates.
The Apex Legends Lost Treasures Collection Event will kick off on June 23 and conclude on July 7. Two weeks, no more, no less.
