Many players are currently experiencing various Call Limit Reached errors in Rocket League, as the servers continue to struggle after Season 3's disappointing launch. What is the Call Limit Reached Error in Rocket League, and what can you do when it appears?
It looks like Rocket League Season 3 can be summarized in a singular word. Not a plurality of words. Not a phrase. A single word. What is that word? Disappointing. Yep. Disappointing. Why? Well, allow me to list a few things:
- Very little new content.
- A boring new map.
- Constant tech and server problems.
What is the Call Limit Reached Error in Rocket League?
The Call Limit Reached Error in Rocket League is an issue caused by an excessive number of people trying to reach the Rocket League servers all at once. Following Rocket League's move to a free-to-play model back in September last year, the Call Limit Reached Error became a massive problem. It seems that with Season 3, this has been amplified.
That's probably the most surprising thing about Rocket League Season 3: people are playing it en-masse. Well, that's distressing... Jokes aside, Psyonix is experiencing insane volumes of players on their servers right now, and it seems that despite Epic Games now providing server support, Call Limit Reached is not off the table just yet. A surprise? Not really, to be honest...
Can I Fix the Call Limit Reached Error in Rocket League?
Sadly, the Call Limit Reached Error in Rocket League is linked to problems with Rocket League's server capacity, and thus you cannot fix the problem yourself. It is quite frustrating, though, especially if you haven't read our article (heh, I'm funny), because the error message itself provides basically no information.
The only thing we can suggest is re-logging into the game, which seems to help from time to time. By resetting, you might get past and into the servers despite their capacity being overloaded. Sadly, in Rocket League you cannot swap between servers to find one which has not reached capacity. Maybe keep an eye on Rocket League's Twitter, as they will share ongoing server problems there.
So, this is a little upsetting isn't it? Don't be too sad about Call Limit Reached, though. Despite not being able to play the game at this moment, it won't last long, and you will be able to jump right back into the action. Hold out, have patience, and stick to EarlyGame...
