Frosty Fest is coming back to Rocket League! Are you also in the middle of Season 5, halfway done with the new Rocket Pass and yearning for new items? Well, perfect then, because with Frosty Fest, you are getting a slew of new items, decals and more.
If you don't know what that is, then don't worry: We are about to explain that in excruciating detail. Frosty Fest is Psyonix's annual Christmas-themed event in Rocket League. The most wonderful time of the year is upon us and Psyonix want to take that opportunity, to give you new items, new map-variants, challenges and more. Let's dive in!
What Is Rocket League Frosty Fest?
Frosty Fest is a seasonal winter event in Rocket League, celebrating the beautiful Christmas period with new items, challenges and more. Every winter, Frosty Fest blessed us with its snowy goodness and Christmas-themed wonderfulness.
What Is Coming To Rocket League Frosty Fest?
Frosty Fest Challenges and Golden Gifts
A whole bunch of cool stuff! With the event, new challenges will arrive in the game. You have two types of challenges: Frosty Fest Challenges and the Challenge for Golden Gifts. The former will help you unlock items specific to the event. The latter is a challenge that you can complete five times and which will unlock new items from the Zephyr, Elevation, and Vindicator Item Series.
What Are The New Items in Rocket League Frosty Fest?
- Ring-a-Ling Wheels
- Flannel Paint Finish
- "Abominable Throwman" Player Title
- Three new Decals
- and more!
In addition, you can claim the Ski-Free Player Banner in the Item Shop for free all throughout Frosty Fest. I won't say no to anything that's free...
Frosty Pack Bundle
If you thought that you could only earn new items by playing the game or by getting gifts, then you thought wrongly. Obviously you can also buy new items, more concretely you can buy the Frosty Pack bundle. This bundle includes Tygris (Crimson Painted), Frostbite Boost (Forest Green Painted), Wonderment Wheels (Crimson Painted), and Sub-Zero Goal Explosion (Forest Green Painted) and will set you back by 1100 Credits (circa $8). Not the priciest bundle we have seen in Rocket League, have to admit it.
Featured LTMs And New Arena-Variant
Just like last year, we are getting a snowy arena variant and featured LTMs. Beckwith Park is getting a new snowy variant, which will be available in Ranked, Casual, and Private Matches. Also, the featured LTMs Winter Breakaway and Spike Rush are coming back! If you don't know what these are, check out our previous article on Frosty Fest from last year. Just believe me when I say that they are fun as heck.
What Is The Rocket League Frosty Fest Release Date?
Frosty Fest is starting on Thursday, December 16 at 9 AM PST/5 PM UTC. Winter Breakaway will be available from December 16 through December 24 and Spike Rush from December 24 through January 3.
Check out some of the items on the official Rocket League website. We are especially keen on that Octane decal... oh, what a sexy thing that is. The other items look actually quite fun as well.
