PS5 Showcase: We have the only recap you'll need! The PlayStation 5 Showcase was grand - not only did we get the price and release date of the PS5, we also got a lot of new games:

  • Final Fantasy XVI
  • Spiderman: Miles Morales
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Deathloop
  • Demon's Souls
  • God of War
  • Oddworld: Soulstorm
  • Five Nights at Freddy's
  • Call of Duty Cold War
  • Fortnite
  • Resident Evil VIII
  • Devil May Cry 5 - Special Edition

Arguably one of the biggest announcements was the PS PLUS Collection: As long as you get PS Plus for the PS5, you will get to play PS4 classics like God of War, Uncharted 4, The Last of Us and many, many more for free. Completely free. All for simply having a PS Plus subscription. That means that any PS5 system will launch with a huge library of games, along with Demon's Souls and Devil May Cry 5 - which are confirmed to be launch titles.

The thing most people were dying to find out was, of course, the aforementioned price and release date. The PS5 will cost €399 for the digital only edition and $499 for the disc edition. That is a solid price, as it matches that of the Xbox Series X. Considering that the PS5 has a powerhouse of a controller, it is surprisingly cheap for Sony's next-gen system. As for when the PlayStation 5 will be released: The release date is November 12 for USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Australia & New Zealand. For the rest of the world, the PS5 will be released on November 19.

Pre-orders are already fully sold out, so it will be a race of who makes it to the retail stores first.
