A new PlayStation 5 event will be held on Wednesday. Sony has also unveiled a new TV spot for the next-gen console. What can we expect in the live stream? Is there finally the PS5 release & price?

The next PlayStation 5 event will already take place on Wednesday evening, September 16. After Microsoft presented the price & release of the Xbox Series S | X in the past few days, Sony should finally reveal some details about the PS5 that fans were waiting for.

A New PS5 Event

The new PS5 event will take place on Wednesday at 10:00 PM CEST. The digital showcase will last about 40 minutes and will mainly focus on updates to the latest titles from PlayStation Studios and partner developers.

This time the focus will be once again on games. However, it can be assumed that Sony will use the last minutes to finally unveil the PlayStation 5 release and price. According to current rumors, the Japanese have lowered the price of the next-gen console after Microsoft took the first step.

In addition to announcing the price and release, information about the pre-order start date is also considered likely. What else could Sony show? It is conceivable that Sony will use the PS5 event to present studio acquisitions or start-ups that will complement PlayStation Studios with the new console. An impressive, albeit not very meaningful commercial, in which the soundtrack, in particular, should give fans of the Netflix series Stranger Things goosebumps.
