This weekend Brad Barclay prevailed over Autumn Burchett in a Scotland versus UK battle across Zendikar with $250,000 on the line! Check out the champ’s deck right here!

First things first, here’s a lightning-fast refresher! This weekend we saw the Zendikar Rising Championship - a battle between some of Magic: The Gathering’s most talented players with tons of glory and prize money at stake. The dual-format had players wield both Standard and Historic decks and the top 8 was quite the rollercoaster!

Burchett and Barclay had two matches together - one in the semi-finals, and one exciting rematch after Autumn triumphed in the loser bracket and getting a second chance.

The games were definitely exciting and both players showed incredible skill, but in the end, the Scot prevailed. The Historic part of the tournament was dominated by Sultai & Four-Color Midrange, Jund Sacrifice, Goblins, and Rakdos Sacrifice - overall, lots of red. But Barclay countered them with a classic Azorius Control - a nice reminder that bringing a less popular deck is just as important as playing the meta if you want to win big!
