LoL Spin-off Hextech Mayhem Out Now, Delays on Some Platforms

League of Legends -
Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story has just hit steam, and we've even got a glimpse of the pre-order bonus content!

Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story is a fast-paced rhythm runner and, as its title suggests, is a brand new LoL Spinoff from Riot Forge and developer Choice Provisions. It looks pretty sweet, for a rhythm runner at least, and is a nice little addition to the League of Legends catalogue for such a low price point.

In fact, Hextech Mayhem is the first of probably many games to come from Riot Forge, the new publisher that was set up by Riot to bring out more LoL-related games. It's even going to be one of the first games featured on Netflix's brand new gaming service, so it's both a franchise-first and a Netflix-first. Exciting, right?

Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story Release Date

The new LoL Spin-off, Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story, is out now. It launched on November 16 for both PC and the Nintendo Switch. It costs $10 USD, depending on the region in which you live, and is a mobile-style rhythm runner. Here's the game's description on Steam:

Bomb, bounce, and bop to the beat of the music to avoid obstacles, disarm enemies, and light fuses to achieve maximum chaos. Cause musical mayhem while outrunning no-fun-allowed Heimerdinger in your quest to build the greatest bomb the world has ever seen!

What is the Preorder Bonus for Hextech Mayhem?

Hextech Mayhem has a pretty great Preorder Bonus, with Ruined Ziggs gracing us with a pretty sweet-looking skin. The game's additional content is shown as a free add-on for players who are pre-ordering the game on Steam, entitled "Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story – Ruined Ziggs Skin". It looks pretty cool, with Ziggs all dressed up with black and blue goggles, and some shards above his head! Have a look:

All in all, this looks like a pretty decent addition to the League of Legends universe, with Riot Forge finally delivering a game, after the Ruined King: A League of Legends Story was delayed by Covid-19. Keep in mind that Hextech Mayhem is also set in Piltover, the same city as the new Netflix Show will be set. Perhaps this could mean some little crossovers, or maybe some hints for what's to come? We're looking forward to November 16 so that we can finally find out!
