League of Legends Patch 10.13 seems like yesterday. More Patch 10.14 news is out, notably, some numbers changes we need to discuss, unforeseen item changes, and Lillia potentially joining us in League of Legends sooner than you think.
League of Legends lead gameplay designer, Mark 'Riot Scruffy' Yetter has released some numbers change for the upcoming League of Legends patch 10.14. Note: These numbers are previews and do not reflect the final patch changes. EarlyGame will have further updates on everything patch 10.14. If you need to understand what to expect from this LoL patch, we've got you covered.
So, what are the current patch 10.14 preview numbers? Well, Mark Yetter took to Twitter to give us more details on how, exactly, these champions will be adjusted. Let's discuss some of the most notable ones, shall we?
We've discussed this in a previous League of Legends patch 10.14 article, that changes needed to come to Wukong, Ezreal, and Volibear, who have seen too much domination in LoL. The LCS and LEC 2020 summer split saw these champions rise significantly, and so did ranked games. These adjustments to those three are essential in bringing some form of balance and variety to lanes.

Ezreal's largest change was to his E, Arcane Shift, which has seen an increase in cooldown from 25-13 to now 28-16. This change now puts the explorer in more danger in the EarlyGame and just might stop him from becoming a slippery damage dealer later in the game. This change will absolutely send Ezreal to the depths of the tier list, bottom of the bottom, we strongly do not suggest you play Ezreal ever again, including you, professional esports players.

If you haven't caught onto our sarcasm, its because these Ezreal changes are the least he needs right now. He needs more number changes to his abilities to make him less of a menace. We hope more changes are coming to his damage dealt, perhaps a damage reduction on his Q, Mystic Shot. Work with us here, Riot Games.
Riven changes are big, boo for Wukong and what are those Zed buffs?
Riven has been struggling in the top lane recently, with champions like Wukong, Volibear, and Ornn out-performing Riven in every stage of the game. The proposed changes to her passive, Runic Blade are quite large. These intended changes would see her passive damage increase from 25-50% to 30-60% which is quite dramatic considering Riven is hardly ever the target buffs. With the additional AD items you'll be building on Riven, these changes mean damage, damage, and more damage. Did we mention damage? We feel that's important. Needless to say, seeing Riven in the top lane will make the place a little more exciting.

What isn't so exciting, however, are the proposed nerfs for Wukong. Right now, this Monkey is so strong. The community is calling for his ultimate to be reduced to a single knock-up instead of two. The proposed change for Wukong is to very slightly reduce his R knock up duration from 0.75 to 0.6, which fans were quick to pick up on.
A big discussion point for the community right now is the proposed Zed buffs. Yes, you heard me correctly, Zed is getting buffed for LoL Patch 10.14. These changes would see W, Living Shadow, have a huge increase in speed from 1750 to 2500, with a cooldown in his W from 22014 to now 20-14. What does this mean? Well, the return of LoL Season 3 Zed mains, that's for sure. We'd need to see these changes in action on the PBE, but for now, we could be seeing a resurgence in Assassins for LoL.
Volibear has seen minuscule changes this Patch 10.14. We honestly expect more to be coming when the official patch notes drop from Riot Games. Volibear's healing has been adjusted, and base-attack speed has been reduced. Statistics and professional games have shown you're going to need to do a lot more to stop this bear from menacing the top or jungle in Summoner's Rift.
The Pyke changes are quite dramatic for Pyke mid, but really, that was to be expected. Pyke was intended to be a bottom lane support hero, so its only natural to see this adjustment, even though the community wasn't all that happy about it.
Lillia could be arriving for 10.14!
Discussions arose in the League community about the next up-coming champion for League of Legends, Lillia. We have an idea that she could be coming a lot sooner than we think! In a recent Tweet from moobeat, Lillia is apparently unlockable for free?
Could we expect a new game-mode or something to do with Nexus Blitz that gives us Lillia? Who knows! But a game-mode to unlock the champion for free seems like good fun! Especially for new players. That just about wraps up our discussion for Patch 10.14! What do you think of the changes?
