If you're a big PlayStation fan, the ability to play games with your friends wherever they are is always a welcome option.

If you're planning on getting the new PlayStation 5, you'll have a hard time avoiding PS Plus. Just take a look at the announced games for the console so far. PS5 supports your hype here: this reliable cloud gaming service allows you to play games, communicate and share your gameplay with everyone on your network. For these features and more, a PlayStation Plus subscription is a worthwhile investment.

3 Reasons Why The PS5 is Better Than The Xbox Series X

What is PlayStation Plus?

PS Plus is a paid subscription service from PlayStation that provides members with two PS4 games to download each month. PS Plus also provides access to online multiplayer games, exclusive discounts on PlayStation Store, 100GB of cloud storage for game saves, and bonus content such as skins and in-game items for free games like Fortnite. Let's go into detail.

All the Features of PlayStation Plus

Monthly Games from PS Plus

You can expand your game collection with two free PS games per month that are available to you as long as you are a member. It doesn't matter if they are blockbuster hits, indie jewels, or multiplayer party games. You can always check which games are available on the official website.

Online Multiplayer

Probably the most important feature is the PS Plus online multiplayer, which allows you to play online with friends and participate in online tournaments. It is also your invitation to join a global community of online gamers.

Exclusive Discounts for Members

If you're a PS Plus member, you'll get exclusive access to the best deals on selected games, add-ons, pre-orders, and more on PlayStation Store. Members also get additional discounts on regular PS Store promotional prices, pre-access to demos, beta trials, pre-orders, and other exclusive rewards and offers.

Exclusive Game Content

As a PS Plus member, you will receive free skins, cosmetic items, weapons, and many other items for free games such as Fortnite and Apex Legends. How cool is that?

100 GB Cloud Storage

Save your game progress in the cloud to continue playing on other consoles where the game is installed. That's certainly handy if you have a second console or you're visiting a friend who also owns one.

Share Play

Share Play lets you play games in multiplayer and co-op mode with your friends, or even give them control of a single-player adventure even if they don't own the game.

How Much Does PlayStation Plus Cost?

There are three payment options for PS Plus:

  • A monthly payment of €8.99
  • A quarterly payment of €24.99
  • An annual payment of €59.99

At the end of the payment period you have chosen, your subscription will automatically continue unless you have canceled it. If you choose to pay annually, you will save 44% compared to a monthly membership and 37% compared to a three-month membership.

If you don't have a PlayStation account and would like to try PS Plus, you can also try a 14-day free trial.

Where Do I Get PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus is available in all countries that support the PlayStation Store. You can check PlayStation Store in your browser to see if you have access.

You can take out your PlayStation Plus subscription directly from PlayStation Store on your PS. Alternatively, you can also do it from your browser.
