EA have been dropping hints about Madden NFL 22 for quite some time now. This year's football game is going to add a plethora of new features, and Madden fans should be excited. Here are all the details.

The Madden series
is one of the longest-running ones in gaming. The first game came all the way back in 1988 and the last one was in 2020. Now, it's time for Madden 2022, and we have a good idea of what to expect. This time, EA weren't shy about leaving clues about the next iteration of Madden. Here’s what we know about Madden 22 so far!

Madden NFL 22: Release Date

The newest entry in the Madden series is less than two months away from an official release. Madden 22 will release on August 20, 2021. There's a way to get it earlier if you want to spend some extra cash. Ah, EA. Pre-ordering the premium editions of Madden 22 will give you access to the game three days earlier.

Madden NFL 22: Poster Athletes

Each edition of Madden features a certain special athlete on the cover. In Madden 22, we'll see not one, but two athletes. They will be Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Madden NFL 22: Franchise Mode Overhaul

Franchise mode is one of the fan-favorite modes in Madden. That's why it comes as no surprise that EA have decided to make it even better. The Madden 22 development team even released a short video highlighting all the upcoming changes.

Madden NFL 22: Home Field Advantage M-Factors

A brand-new feature in Madden 22 will be the "Home Field Advantage". These advantages can affect both the home team and the away team. EA have already revealed all of them:

Madden NFL 22: Face of the Franchise

Face of the Franchise will also be seeing some big changes in Madden 2022. The game's career mode will give you a chance to train with and play against some of the best NFL athletes. Furthermore, the devs are also planning to add a new “Class Progression System”.

Each Class features three Superstar Abilities and one X-Factor ability for you to unlock as you level up in that Class. These abilities play into how you perform on the field and can even be customized to your specific playstyle and needs.

Madden NFL 22: Crossplay

We all know that Madden NFL 21 has crossplay. The game even offered a free next-gen upgrade for anyone who got a new console in time. Considering that Madden 21 had crossplay, we have no reason to believe EA will cut it out from the upcoming Madden NFL 22. Currently, there's still no official confirmation from EA regarding crossplay in Madden 22, but we'll probably see it discussed in the next few weeks.
