Square Enix have finally unveiled their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game at E3 2021. The game stole the show after not only revealing detailed gameplay, but also the release date and on which platforms the game will drop. We have the Guardians of the Galaxy release date, its gameplay reveal, and more right here.

The Square Enix Press Conference at E3 2021 was, perhaps, the best E3 conference that the company has hosted, and included some outstanding announcements such as a new Final Fantasy, something called Babylon's Fall (that looks awesome), and an all-new Guardians of the Galaxy game. We're here with all the details on the Guardians of the Galaxy release date, and everything we know so far...

Before we give you a taste of what's to come in Guardians of the Galaxy, you should catch up on E3 2021, here are a few highlights...

What is the Guardians of the Galaxy Release Date?

Guardians of the Galaxy will release on October 26 for both last and new-gen consoles, as well as PC. The game will not come out on the Nintendo Switch. Players will play as Star-Lord as he (assumably) fights to save the galaxy... but these are details we'll cover in a minute – for now, what's important is that Square Enix's Guardians of the Galaxy was announced, and will be released very soon!

Guardians of the Galaxy Gameplay Reveal: Details & Features

Guardians of the Galaxy will feature the whole crew of misfit-heroes, including Drax, Rocket, and Groot, as you fight to save the Universe as... you guess it... Star-Lord. The gameplay reveal, or "first look" was insane. Those graphics, man, they... were incredibly disappointing. Still, its GotG, so it's hype either way.

Developed by Eidos Montreal, Square Enix's Guardians of the Galaxy is in good hands too. Eidos Montreal is known for its success with the Deus Ex games, and from this gameplay reveal, we can assure you that Guardians of the Galaxy is on track.

We can expect big-action set-pieces, a ton of '80s music, some weird-ass aliens, and some top-shelf comedy. Seriously: all you need to do is check out the Guardians of the Galaxy game website to know this is going to be one wild ride. It's also a single-player third-person action adventure game, and has been made in partnership with Marvel. We're getting some real Mass Effect vibes here. We're sold. Take our money, Square...
