Battlefield Console War: In the trenches, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X face each other, and they're hammering away at the sales pitch. After years of development, all the curtains have finally come down and the information is here. In just a few days, we'll be able to enjoy the new next-gen consoles to the fullest, provided you got a hold of one of the first wave of pre-orders. While the Xbox Series X will already be released on November 10th, we'll have to wait two days longer for the PS5.
However, apart from the release date, there are numerous differences between the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft, which are set to replace the now 7-year-old console generation. In retrospect, both the PS4 and Xbox One delivered great performances. Can it get even better? After 7 years of development, we can state one thing: Absolutely! If you're not hot after the first next-gen trailers, you better have a psychologist check your mental. Of course, the fan camps are already banging heads again, and honestly, without the console war, the whole thing is only half as much fun. But as we said before, both consoles have advantages and disadvantages that can make you spoilt for choice. Besides the exclusive games, there are slight differences in performance between the PS5 and Xbox Series X, not to mention the Xbox Series S, which is a full-fledged Xbox for the emptier wallets. If you want to have the full next-gen experience, you shouldn't skimp in the wrong places though, after all, you don't know what's coming down the road. But some differences are so serious that you are really spoilt for choice. However, there are some good reasons why the PlayStation 5 completely outshines the new Xbox Series X / S. In today's list, we'd like to further fuel the fan camp controversy and give you three reasons why the PS5 is the system to get. Sorry Microsoft faithfuls, but it is what it is. Let's get started!
