Fortnite Season 7: Invasion is now officially live. Epic ditched the primal theme of Season 6 and introduced a whole new array of weapons themed after the alien invaders. Here's a quick look at all the new weapons!
If you weren't a fan of the primal or makeshift weapons in Fortnite Season 6, we have some good news for you - they're gone. Worry not, though, as Epic Games added a bunch of new alien weapons that you can experiment with in Season 7: Invasion. It's fair to say that alien technology is something we have never seen before in Fortnite. Without further ado, let's take a look at the new alien weapons!
The Pulse Rifle may look very similar to the beloved Assault Rifle, but there's one key difference. When fired from the hip, the Pulse Rifle's fire rate is quite high. Aiming down sights will lower the Pulse Rifle's fire rate significantly and allow you to make more precise shots. Doctor Sloan has a buffed-up version of the Pulse Rifle weapon, but you'll have to defeat her in order to get it.
Kymera Ray Gun
The Kymera Ray Gun will shoot a continuous beam when fired, but after a few seconds, it'll have to stop in order to recharge. Still, a short burst from the Kymera Ray Gun might be enough to take down most enemies (unless they're fully shielded). One thing to note from the official Epic post, is that the Kymera Ray Gun is weak against structures. Maybe we'll find out why it's called "Kymera" later in the season?

Recon Scanner Launcher
You might be thinking this is just a grenade launcher, but that's where you're wrong. The Recon Scanner Launcher is the most tactical of the new additions.
Survey an area from a safe distance by firing its Recon Bolts, which mark all opponents (and Chests) in its diameter. There’s a limited amount of Bolts you can have out at a time, but don’t worry about finding more: the Recon Scanner regenerates Bolts automatically.
The Recon Scanner Launcher is a modified version of the Flare Gun (which got removed) with unlimited ammo.
Rail Gun Rifle
The snipers in Fortnite finally make a return in Season 7. The Rail Gun Rifle is a prime example of why you might get frustrated in Season 7: Invasion. It can deal insane damage with a charged single shot that even goes through walls. The drawback? The Rail Gun Rifle has only a single shot before you have to reload, and the beam is visible. Make that shot count!
Furthermore, Epic vaulted some weapons from Season 6 and brought others back.
- Infantry Rifle
- Harpoon Gun
- All Bows
- All Primal Weapons
- Launch Pad
- Bolt-Action Sniper
- Hand Cannon
- Assault Rifle
- Heavy Assault Rifle
