Fortnite Season 7 is slowly coming to an end and everyone is looking forward to Chapter 2, Season 8, but what will happen? We have the release date and all the leaks and details for Season 8 for you right now.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 hasn't been officially announced by Epic yet, but that doesn't mean we're not speculating like crazy fanboys about what might happen. Let's just dive into everything we know about Fortnite Season 8.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 Release Date
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 will release on September 13. There's no official release date for Fortnite Season 8, but if you look at the current Battle Pass, you'll see something like "Chapter 2 - Season 7 ends September 12th" in the bottom left corner. With that in mind, it's actually pretty safe to say that Season 8 will start on September 13. We know from past seasons that Epic sometimes likes to extend seasons. But at least at this point, the release date of Season 8 doesn't seem to have changed yet. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it stays that way.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 Leaks & Details
Let's get to the really exciting part of Season 8. Leaks and details! Usually Epic manages to keep future seasons under wraps when it comes to leaks, but for Season 8, the situation is a little different. Due to the legal dispute with Apple, a document was released that revealed some plans for Fortnite, and most of them have come to pass.
Everything from the Ariana Grande concert to LeBron James skins came to Fortnite and even the Suicide Squad crossover came to pass. But one particular leak, we just can't stop thinking about, and honestly? As a hardcore fan of Naruto, I haven't been able to sit still for weeks.
The Battle Pass for Season 8 will reportedly include a Naruto crossover in the form of a Battle Pass skin and an explosive Kunai weapon. Okay, we really need to keep the inner fanboy/girl under control. Donald Mustard, Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games, has recently confirmed with a Redditor that Naruto is 100% coming to Fortnite.
But that's not the end of the leaks!
Dataminers have also hinted that a new mechanic, called Sideways, is coming to the game soon. It will be something similar to the "Upside Down" dimension of the popular Netflix series Stranger Things. Rumor has it that this mechanic will also introduce monsters into the game that you can ride.
Season 8 will be alien themed too.— Lerzon the 3rd (@L3rzia) August 10, 2021
Hear me out (thread):
So what if the Sideways are like the portals from season 5? "The Sideways" could have similar meaning to the "upside down". In st the upside down portals work quite like the fortnite rifts according to mr Clarke. (1/4) pic.twitter.com/9IJcUo2r5q
Yep, you read that right. Even if that sounds a bit far-fetched, but hey, these are leaks and I already said at the beginning that I will tell you all season 8 leaks.
Kevin the Cube is rumored to be returning at the end of Season 7 and will supposedly play a big role in the next season. Maybe he'll mess up time and space again? Once again, Donald Mustard drops a season 8 hint that suggests something world-changing is planned.
