That goal deserves it

Will Patrik Schick Get A Festival of FUTball Card in FIFA 21?

The Festival of FUTball has started in FIFA 21. EA celebrates EURO 2020 by bringing special player items and themed squad building challenges into the game. We want – no, we demand – a Path to Glory card for Patrik Schick who scored two strong goals for the Czech Republic.

So, before we get to the highlight - the dream goal from almost 50 meters - we also have to acknowledge Patrik Schick's first goal. He beautifully squeezed through the Scottish defenders and headed the ball into the far corner.

But of course, you're here mostly for the goal from the halfway line.

Enjoy:

Can you believe Patrik Schick is capable of that? Well, you shouldn't be that surprised. The 25-year-old scored 13 times (in 36 competitive games) for Bayer Leverkusen last season. While two goals in one game is a slightly better ratio, the Czech star certainly has a touch for scoring.

His regular FUT card is not exactly exhilarating. In fact, it's outright useless this late into the season. That's why we demand a Path to Glory card for him. Right now!

Is a Festival of FUTball Card Coming for Patrik Schick?

Since EA do not own the rights to EURO 2020, they are using their Festival of FUTball as an alternative. Italy's Alessandro Florenzi received a very strong card after his nation's opening win, so it makes a lot of sense to do the same for Schick. If he does get a special item, it would most likely be at least 90 OVR, which is miles above what's currently available.

Furthermore, if the Czech Republic keeps winning, the card could get upgrades. Definitely content we need to see.

Upgrades format:

  • 3 wins = +2 OVR upgrade
  • 4 wins = +1 OVR upgrade
  • 5 wins = +1 OVR upgrade
  • 6 Victories = 5* Weak Foot upgrade/ 5*Skill Moves upgrade

Granted, we don't expect Schick to lead the Czech Republic to the title, but he certainly deserves a nice card after this opener. Come on, EA, give the Czechs some love!
