It's the day of FIFA 22's release, you're hopping on career mode, but you can't find what you're looking for. Is this a bug? Where's Youssoufa Moukoko?
Borussia Dortmund's up and comer can't be found in either the Ultimate Team or standard play. We were expecting him for FIFA 22. After all, he is in the BVB squad and has already played in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup, Supercup, and the Champions League.
So what's going on, EA?
Why Is Moukoko Not In FIFA 22?
The answer is simple: Moukoko is not yet 17 years old. But, you might be thinking, the top talent Kacper Urbanski from FC Bologna starts his career mode in-game as a 16-year-old. So why is Moukoko not there?
EA does not allow players younger than 17 to star in the game, but Urbanski was born on September 7th, so he was 17 at the release of FIFA 22. However, the real-life season obviously starts earlier than that - so he begins career mode at 16.
But we have to wait a little longer for Moukoko to turn 17 and join FIFA.
When Will Moukoko Come To FIFA 22?
The attacker will turn 17 on November 20, 2021, in other words: Moukoko should be in FIFA 22 by the end of November at the latest. We're hoping that the German U-21 international will come into the game with some solid stats, of course - and that he has potential for huge improvement in-game.
We're also going to assume that this youngster will end up among the absolute top talents in career mode. At Dortmund, he is used very often (especially for his age) and has already proven himself. At 16 years and 28 days, he is in fact the youngest scorer in the Bundesliga. So get Moukoko for career mode as soon as you can!
