Rachel "Valkyrae" Hofstetter is the most popular female streamer at this very moment. That doesn't mean as much as we might have thought. Is Valkyrae ready to quit streaming and social media? She gave a very honest answer to that question.

Valkyrae has it as good as it gets as a streamer. She is currently the most-watched female streamer, overtaking Pokimane, and is already into the business side of the spectrum by becoming part-owner of 100 Thieves. She may be ready to take the next step away from streaming.

Is Valkyrae Ready to Quit Streaming?

All this success is getting into Rachel's head. During her most recent stream, Valkyrae hinted at quitting streaming and social media altogether and focus on business instead. The reasons: it's all too toxic to handle.

There’s definitely going to be a time in my life where I pivot out of social media especially. I don’t want to live this way for the rest of my life. I actually really, really hate social media. It’s scary… I hate it. All the trolls, and hate, and creepiness. I just don’t think this fame is really that fulfilling. It’s incredibly invasive. Quitting has been on my mind a lot.

When Will Valkyrae Quit Social Media?

Rachel Hofstetter is not ready to quit just yet. But she does have a plan.

I don’t know when, but it’s been on my mind. I already have things in business and investing, so I can pivot when I’m ready. I have that plan, I just don’t know when I want to do it.

We must also share her final words on this topic, which do ring in a powerful manner:

This life is so exposing, and people — especially on social media — are always looking for the worst in you. They want to find something bad about you, and actually use it against you. It’s just scary, really scary.

It is scary, especially when coming from the mouth of someone who's benefitted so heavily from their involvement on social media. If Valkyrae finds social media toxic, then the statement must hold some truth to it.
