WandaVision was a lowkey surprising hit with Marvel fans. Among the absolute fan favorites from the TV series was Agatha Harkness, played by actress Kathryn Hahn. Kevin Feige was quick to confirm that Agatha will be back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe "soon enough".
Marvel TV series are very hit or miss. For every Daredevil, there's Cloak & Dagger. WandaVision is universally viewed as a hit. A huge role in that is the strong presence of villain Agatha Harkness, played meticulously by Kathryn Hahn.
The show's success and Hahn's fine performance have not escaped MCU mastermind Kevin Feige's sharp eye. The executive is ready to bring Agatha back as soon when time allows it.
Kevin Feige: Agatha MCU Return Can't Come Soon Enough
Kevin Feige gave some extensive interviews in promotion of Black Widow, but answered questions on many other topics. In typical Marvel fashion, his answers were mostly vague and in the vain of "we'll see". Even the one piece of news we've picked for this article can fall under that category, because Feige did not give anything concrete for us to chew on.
Yet, he said just about enough to get WandaVision, Agatha Harkness and Kathryn Hahn fans all excited, because by the look of things, Hahn is far from done with the MCU. Here is what Kevin Feige said when asked about the actress and the possibility of her return as Agatha:
Someday. Someday soon. You will see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2 next, then maybe an assortment of other things. But within the MCU, it can’t come soon enough. Let’s put it that way.
That's about as far as it goes with the Marvel chief. Stuff like that is the equivalent of "it's done, Agatha solo movie starts filming this week" when coming from Feige's mouth.
All jokes aside, it's good to know that Marvel recognize what the fans like and want. We would definitely be interested in seeing Kathryn Hahn back in the role of Agatha Harkness. Maybe a trap remix of Agatha All Along? Ok, maybe that's a bit too far. We'll settle for a new wave cover.
