All Warzone Season 5 Details
Just recently, the new Season 5 trailer was released, confirming some of the following leaks for us. If you want to know more about the Warzone & BOCW Season 5 trailer, check it out here:
What is the Warzone Season 5 Release Date?
Warzone Season 5 will launch next Thursday on August 12 at 00:00 ET (05:00 BST, 06:00 CEST), but it will be available to pre-download from some point on Tuesday the 10th of August. This is always the safest prediction to make; we can see from the Battlepass that Warzone Season 5 is definitely coming that week, and so far, the new season has always gone live on Thursdays, at the above-stated time.
What are the New Warzone Season 5 Weapons?
We're getting a TEC-9, the iconic 90s gangster gun. Keep in mind, though, that because Activision no longer pays to use licensed names for firearms, it will be called something else in-game.
You can see the operator in the Season 5 teaser image above using a pair of TEC-9s. In-game we can probably expect a fun little SMG, but it will almost certainly be irrelevant to the Warzone meta because of its natural limitations as both short-range and low capacity.
So far we haven't heard anything about a second weapon, the likes of which we've come to expect at a new season's launch.
What are the Warzone Season 5 Operators?
It is not yet known who the new Warzone Season 5 Operator will be, but we've had a few hints. We'll probably be getting the character in the image above, who may also be the one teased in last week's short teaser trailer. While we haven't seen pictures of them, we also know we are getting at least three operators in Season 5. The names of three new operators were recently leaked:
Kingsley, Kitsune, and Surge are all just internal names for next seasons's operators. seems to be heavily inspired off Japanese folklore and other imagery. we *might* be seeing a japanese related season, if not japanese related im some fashion— The Cheeseburger Boys (@Cheezburgerboyz) July 26, 2021
Perhaps a Japanese theme is on the cards, it's certainly a design space we haven't seen before, and it sounds promising.
What are the new BOCW Season 5 Maps?
Recent leaks revealed three new maps for BOCW Season 5:
We already know Slums from Black Ops 2, 3 and 4, so it makes sense to have it in Black Ops Cold War now. Drive-In is also an old Black Ops map, while Echelon is rumored to be a mix of several well-known CoD maps. We are curious...
Will Warzone Season 5 Feature WWII Vanguard Teasers?
We are pretty sure that a teaser for this year's Call of Duty: WWII Vanguard will be teased in Warzone this month. Okay, we're being a little cheeky here, because we don't have official news on this yet. The thing is, it's very likely that we will start seeing hints dropped in the game, much like last year when Warzone players occasionally saw 'visions' that hinted at Black Ops Cold War. This time around, though, we think WWII-era fighter planes will be used to tease the new game, thanks to this leak.
Note: We said this at the top, but in case you forgot (or more likely, you jumped to the ever-exciting 'new weapons' sections and missed it), we will be updating this article regularly until the release of Warzone Season 5, so bookmark this page and check back for more.
