Just hours ago, the PlayStation Game Size Twitter account leaked the news that Activision had added a new title to the PlayStation game database. The game has an ESRB of 17+ and is 43.97GB large. Does this confirm our prediction for the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remaster? We think so.
The PlayStation Game Size Twitter account has provided credible information on a consistent basis and seems to be controlled or informed by someone with insider knowledge on the PlayStation game database. The few details we have about the unknown game Activision have added seems to line up most closely with an MW3 Remaster.

Is The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Remaster Confirmed?
We can almost certainly expect Activision to release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered in the coming months. The news was leaked a few weeks ago that the game was coming in Q2 of this year by reliable leaker TheMW2Ghost. And now, this tweet seems to confirm the release:

Releasing an old Call of Duty remaster in the Spring, and selling it with exclusive Warzone cosmetics, would be the exact same move from Activision as we saw last year with the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster (which brought the special Operator skin 'Underwater Demo Team' for Ghost). The 'unknown' title just added to PlayStation's database is 45GB, so very much what we would expect given that the MW2 Remastered download was around 39GB. Also, it's rated for 17+, so again, exactly what we would expect from a Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remaster.
When Will Modern Warfare 3 Remastered Be Released?
Modern Warfare 3 Remastered is expected in Q2 (April 1 - June 30) of this year, and now the game is reportedly on PlayStation's own database this seems even more likely - you should expect the game to be launched alongside a big Warzone update though, probably Season 4's launch, so around June 15. Trouble at Activision, and reports of other studios needing to assist Sledgehammer in their work on the next Call of Duty, WW2 Vanguard, is the only thing that might cause a delay to Modern Warfare 3. If the game is on the database then we know it's ready, but it might be the case that Activision chooses to delay the MW3 remastered release so that it can 'cover' for CoD: WW2 Vanguard later in the year
Will Modern Warfare 3 Remastered Be A PlayStation Exclusive?
Unfortunately for all of our Xbox and PC readers, renowned insider and YouTuber TheGamingRevolution has suggested that the game is going to be a PlayStation exclusive for at least one month, as was the case for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster. Sony partially funded the MW2 remaster last year to acquire the game as an exclusive for a month, but it looks like that same deal is still in place for the MW3 remaster.
How Much Will The Modern Warfare 3 Remaster Cost?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered will probably cost $19.99 and come with an Operator Bundle for Warzone, we think this operator will be Soap. This price estimate is perfectly in keeping with last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered release price. For twenty dollars it should draw fans in with reasonable value and the addition of a Warzone cosmetic bundle based on a legend of the franchise.
