The weekly playlist update for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone went live last evening. Sanatorium gets its own 24/7 playlist and Warzone gets a breath of fresh air.

Since the beginning of this year, the weekly playlist updates have always gone live on Thursday evenings. This week was no exception as Treyarch deliveredd the big mid-season update - Season 1 Reloaded.

Playlist Update

Black Ops Cold War

The big update brought among other things the new Fireteam map Sanatorium, as well as a new multiplayer mode.

  • There's the new Dropkick 6v6 mode where two teams fight for a briefcase with nuclear launch codes. The carrier of the briefcase can only use one gun and must be protected by his team. Respawns are only possible when the briefcase is dropped. A nice new mode for players who like team play and playing the objective.
  • The new map Sanatorium gets a 24/7 playlist for its introduction. The map is only available for the 40-player Fireteam mode and will probably be part of a new Warzone map in the future.
  • Nuketown 24/7, Raid & Crossroads Strike 24/7, Gunfight Blueprints, Face Off and Prop Hunt remain active.

  • The new game mode Cranked is now available. Throughout the game, you fight against a timer that can only be reset by kills. If the timer expires, you will be blown up. Easy as that!
  • The Onslaught Raid mode also starts exclusively for PS4/PS5. Here you play on the multiplayer map Raid and follow a dark ether orb while fending off increasingly strong waves of zombies. Always stay with the Orb, otherwise you are lost!

Even though the Season 1 Reloaded update did not bring any new features for Warzone, there is still a playlist update here. Not as massive as the DMR 14 nerf, but an update nevertheless.

  • Plunder Trios are back in Verdansk. Grab two buddies and collect as much cash as you can!
  • Buy Back Solos are also available again for Verdansk. There is no Gulag in this mode. You start with $4,500 and will be revived for that amount if you die within the first 20 minutes of a match. Always make sure you have at least $4,500 in your pocket or you'll be out the next time you die!
  • There's Rebirth Island content too. Mini Royale Solos and Resurgence Quads are coming. Mini Royale is, as the name suggests, a smaller version of the usual mode. Both the number of players and the time have been reduced here. In Resurgence Quads, teammates can respawn as long as at least one squad member remains alive for 30 seconds.
  • Verdansk BR Solos, Plunder Quads, Mini Royale Duos and Resurgence Trios have been removed.

Starting tonight, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone have double weapon XP and until 21 January, Zombie Mode is free for everyone to play, so make sure your weekend is free and have fun grinding!
