If you’re looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, EarlyGame is the place to be! We test all the weapons for you and provide you with the best setups for each of them.
Today, we’ll take a look at the first sniper in the game, which is unlocked at level 4. The Pelington 703 doesn’t look particularly spectacular and its damage doesn’t seem overwhelming at first – if you don’t hit accurately, you’ll often only see a hit marker instead of a kill. The special thing about the weapon is its speed, which makes it the perfect quick-scope sniper. The disadvantages can of course be improved with the right attachments.
If you’ve played a few matches in BOCW, you’ve probably been taken out by a quick scope once or twice. Wondering what weapon and setup you need to do the same? You’ll find it here!
Quick aiming and reloading in case of emergency, as well as compensating for the lower damage, are the goals of this setup:
- Muzzle: Stabilizer .308
- Barrel: 26.5” Tigerteam
- Magazine: 7-shot
- Handle: air-elastic wrap
- Stock: Plunderer pad
If you like to sit on the other end of the map and camp, you should reach for a different setup, but if you like to always be in the middle of the action even as a sniper, this is the perfect setup. Keep moving and quick-scoping, hits to the head or torso are usually one-shots. If you only see one hit marker, don’t worry, you can follow up with the next hit extremely quickly.
