Season 8 – Mayhem in Apex Legends launches on February 2 and today we got another trailer that shows us gameplay and some of the changes coming to the Kings Canyon map.
Two years after the release of the successful Battle Royale title, it's time for Season 8. The new season is called Mayhem and is set to start on February 2. We already got some info about the new legend, Fuse, and the new weapon, the 30-30 Repeater, and of course there will be a new Battle Pass with 100 levels.
The latest 80s-inspired gameplay trailer shows the new legend Walter "Fuse" Fitzroy, who lets it rip as an explosives expert. All of this happens on the famous Kings Canyon map, which will feature some new gameplay areas with the start of the new season.
But it's best if you just take a look for yourself:
The new legend Fuse is not only indirectly tied to the new map changes – after all, he is mainly responsible for them. On his way to the Apex Games, he crashed a huge ship, destroying large parts of the map and thus creating new gameplay areas. However, the Ecological Cleanup and Hazard Outreach (ECHO) has already begun cleanup efforts, preparing the new areas for action-packed battles. The ECHO tents and observation towers offer unprecedented verticality, so take every opportunity to surprise your enemies from above.
Among all the announced new features, there are also some gold magazines for selected weapons, so keep your eyes peeled.
