Just in time for its second birthday, the surprise hit of 2019 is starting the next round. EA and Respawn have finally revealed the launch date for Apex Legends Season 8 - and presented the new character in the trailer.

On February 4, 2019, Apex Legends turned the genre of battle royale shooters upside down. Now, almost exactly two years later, Season 8 is waiting in the wings. We'll give you an overview of what's in store for you.

Apex Legends Season 8 Starts on February 2

The cat is out of the bag: Apex Legends Season 8 bears the sonorous name "Mayhem" and will cause chaos and destruction on February 2. After all, we can expect an extensive map rework of the popular Kings Canyon map with the new season. That's not all, of course.

Apex Legends Season 8 also sees the premiere of a new character, the biker/mercenary Fuse, who is an explosives expert. However, the makers have not yet revealed what abilities the 16th legend in the Apex squad has. At least the first background trailer with fat explosions and finest 80s metal gets you in the mood for the new character.

Apex Legends Season 3 With New Weapon & Battle Pass

The 30-30 Repeater is a new rifle that was inspired by the classic .30 caliber bolt action rifle. The rate of fire should be quite manageable but expect it to hit hard.

You should also prepare for a brand-new Battle Pass with over 100 levels full of colorful gifts, as well as a new Ranked Season in Apex Legends Season 8. Since we are only about two weeks away from the release of the new season, the complete information about the new content should arrive in a few days. There was also a leak of a "damage tracker" making its way in Season 8.
