Apex Legends Patch 1.56 Brings Stability
Apex Legends is currently in Season 7 and the Fight Night collection event is live. The latest update caused some freezing issues and patch 1.56 seeks to remedy those.
Ever since the Fight Night collection event kicked off some players have been experiencing crashing and freezing issues while playing Apex Legends. It’s a problem that wasn’t limited to a single platform as everyone had it. Patch 1.56 serves as a hotfix to address those and hopefully, the game won’t be crashing again anytime soon. Here’s the full changelog:
- Improved stability
- Fixed freezing issues
- Fixed issues with event skins “Haute Drop” and “Gold Standard”
- Fixed errors with clicking on Steam friends list
- Fixed text chat issues with Steam
- Fixed several
While the main focus is improving stability and getting rid of the freezing Respawn Entertainment used the opportunity to fix other things as well. Two of the skins were causing problems and those were Wattson’s brand-new Haute Drop and Loba’s Gold Standard.
Players that were using Steam probably encountered an issue with their friends list and texting in chat. In addition, some Clubs-related issues were also fixed. Hopefully, all of the bugs listed will be a thing of the past.

That’s it for patch 1.56 but there are definitely bigger things on the way. Let’s not forget that Season 7 is about to end in early February. That’ll mark the start of a new season and potentially, a lot of new features. One of them might have already been leaked by the miner Shrugtal.
Shrugtal suggests that Apex fans should soon expect a Team Deathmatch mode that’ll take place in different arenas. Whether the feature will arrive with Season 8 remains to be seen but it’s certainly something everyone would want to try out.
