Caustic Town Takeover Teased in Kings Canyon
The Apex Legends Anniversary Collection Event is no more... or, wait... it got extended! In the meantime Respawn updated the game with a new hint for the upcoming Caustic Town Takeover!
The Anniversary Collection event in Apex Legends got extended by over a week due to the numerous login errors that plagued the community. Thanks, Respawn!

What Will Be the Next Apex Legends Town Takeover?
It has been over a month since we had a Town Takeover in Apex Legends. The last one was Pathfinder's Fight Night which introduced more of the legend's lore, in addition to adding a boxing arena, where you can only fight with melee attacks. The next legend to get a Town Takeover is probably going to be Caustic. Most players probably noticed that right before the character selection screen, Caustic appears and visits a certain place on the map.

The location in question can be found between Crash Site and Artillery on Kings Canyon. Caustic even had a voice line when passing through it, where he expressed his fascination. If you visit the location now you'll find a huge gas canister. Right next to it, you can find a tablet that will play a message when you interact with it:
The erupted gas pocket and fuel have combined to create a gargantuan supply of toxin. If there was a way to refine it, I could mold it into something spectacular.

When Will the Caustic Town Takeover Happen?
It's not clear when the Town Takeover will actually take place, but considering the teaser is already out it's bound to be soon. This might also mean that we'll get more lore on Caustic and his origins. Whether it'll be an animated short, remains to be seen.
Town Takeovers usually reflect a legend's personality and story, in Caustic's case we should probably expect a lot of poisonous gas. Currently, there are four Takeovers on Kings Canyon - Octane's Gauntlet, Singh Labs, Crypto's Map Room, and The Mirage Voyage. We're curious what Caustic's zone will be called.
