Monster Hunt and Easter Eggs in Apex Legends
Apex Legends Nessie: How to summon the Loch Ness monster
Easter may be over for some, but the Loch Ness Easter Egg in the Battle Royale shooter Apex Legends is available all year round. On to the egg hunt!
A giant monster rises from the depths of the sea at King's Canyon in Apex Legends. The monster of Loch Ness is probably the most famous Easter Egg in the Battle Royale shooter, but also the most elaborate. We'll show you how to summon Nessie and what happens afterwards and who knows, maybe there's a lot more to come in Season 5 besides a surprise for Titanfall fans?
How to summon Nessie in Loch Ness
Respawn Entertainment obviously had a lot of fun developing Apex Legends, there is no other way to explain the many easter eggs and secrets in last year's biggest surprise hit. The summoning of Nessie, the legendary Loch Ness monster, is by far the most complex one so far. But hey, if you have nothing to do besides fighting, loot gathering and surviving, you can summon a monster once in a while, right? To summon Nessie in Apex Legends, you have to collect a total of ten stuffed animals scattered all over the map - or rather send them to the afterlife. Only after the first plush Nessie has passed away does the next cuddly monster appear. The thing is only those who work together as a team have a chance to shoot down all 10 plush animals within the round and trigger the Apex Legends Nessie Easter Egg.
The discovery sites of the Nessie cuddly toys
The wild cuddly toy hunt begins near the Spawn Barque north of the Cascades, while the second animal already sends players to Skull Town. Care should be taken when collecting the fluffy monsters, however, because the correct order is just as important as not dying while hunting.
Here are the locations of the 10 Nessie figures in Apex Legends:
- North of the Respawn unit above the Cascades
- In the pond at Respawn unit in Skull Town
- West of the slums near the big pipes
- On a lily pad east of the relay
- In toxic water west of Water Treatment
- East of Runoff, south of the Respawn unit there
- At the bottom of a small waterfall east of the Wetlands
- In a building at the southern end of Swamps
- In a pond below a building south of the bunker
- Far East of the map on a stone in the Swamps
The video from GamesRadar shows all the locations and what happens when you have eliminated the ten figures. After that there probably won't be much time left to collect the reward of your efforts and to admire the majestic creature, because Nessie disappears into the sea again.
