The latest event in Apex introduced a brand-new hop-up for the Spitfire LMG. It turns bullets into cans of paint and players can do their own graffiti.
Apex Legends is in its fifth season and there’s less than a week remaining. The battle royale shooter currently has an ongoing limited-time mode event which by the looks of it will be the last for the season. After all, Respawn revealed that Season 6 is scheduled for release on August 18. That’s also when the LTM Always be closing Evolved is set to come to an end.
One of the features introduced by the last LTM for the season was a brand-new hop-up (hop-ups are rare upgrades available for certain weapons and they have a lot of impact on gameplay) in Apex. The Spitfire LMG got a special limited-time hop-up only for the duration of Always be closing Evolved. The new hop-up increases increases magazine size by 15% and reload speed by 25%. That’s a solid boost to the weapon, but it’s not what players are excited about.
Aside from the statistics the Graffiti Mod, changes bullets to paint-loaded rounds that can be yellow, green or purple. The result is quite nice.
By the looks of it, the new hop-up will only be available for a short time – 6 more days to be exact. Who knows though, previous LTM exclusive items like EVO shields have made it as a permanent addition to the game, so maybe the Graffiti Mod can follow the same fate. Will players actually play the game or will they leave their custom tags on the map?
What’s even more curious is the fact that the graffiti hop-up was teased back during the Broken Ghost questline.
The logo on the hop-up also bears the same letter as Rampart. In a way that was one of the first teasers about the new upcoming legend. As we’ve mentioned above, Season 6 will come out on August 18, along with the new legend Rampart, the Volt SMG, a new Battle Pass, ranked changes and a brand-new feature with the crafting system.
